How to Add an Accountant to Your Toast Account

The reason we need this is to be able to obtain financial summary reports to be able to agree Toast to the financials. We will not touch any other store data. This also allows us to connect Toast to the accounting system and reconnect as necessary.

  1. Log into Toast Web and navigate to "Employees"
  2. Then click into "Employee management" and "Employees"
  3. Select the "+ Add New Employee" button
  4. If you're a Toast Payroll customer, you may receive a pop-up indicating that it's best practice to add a new employee in Toast Payroll rather than in Toast POS. However, for bookkeeping purposes, Toast recommends this path.
  5. Toggle "Yes" when given the option to invite the employee to create a Toast Web account

  6. Next, enter the employee details. Please use Josh Hall and josh@jhandco.com.
  7. Select "Add" to save this profile
  8. After selecting "Add," we will receive an email specifying next steps, including creating a password.

And you are done! We’ll take it from there.
